Asian Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Association (ANNA) was established on 14/5/2010

Welcome to Asian Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Association (ANNA) and Academy of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ANN); blending of eminent scholars in Asia engaged in research and education of all aspects of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

Professor Chung-Yu, Director of National Program on Nanotechnology in Taiwan, Professor Hiroaki Misawa at Hokkaido University and Professor C. N. R. Rao at Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research have Joined ANNA as our Patrons

Professor Ahmed Zewail, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (1999), has joined ANNA as our Honorary President

Purpose of ANNA
"Growing economies of China and India position science and technology in Asia at the heart of an explosion, which is discernible from a considerable increase in the number of research institutions, dedicated researchers and quality research articles." These words of Professor Hiroshi Masuhara at Nara Institute of Science and Technology stimulated Vasudevanpillai Biju to coin "Asian Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Association" It is now high time to establish and tighten transnational cooperation among researchers in Asian countries for well-organized growth of science and technology.

ANNA is a nonprofit association registered in National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, a Government Organization under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan. ANNA is put together in association with a group of researchers in Japan to keep pace with the growing needs for cooperative interactions among researchers in Asian countries. While working outside the scaffolds of public and private organizations, ANNA will ensure public service on all research and education matters within the scope of nanoscience and nanotechnology. It provides a common platform for the exchange of ideas among scientists, technologists, teachers, and students. Members of ANNA and ANN are committed to improve global life through the integration of emerging knowledge in the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology areas with life innovation technologies in Asian Countries
Academy of Nanoscence and Nanotechnology (ANN) is affiliated with ANNA
